Anorectal abscess

There are many glands around the anorectal or anal area. There are numerous reasons that can lead to blockage of the glands, which can lead to infection, pus accumulation, and swelling. This phenomenon is called anorectal or anal abscess. Anal abscess can develop in different areas, such as inside the anus, or in the rectum. These abscesses can develop in depth or on the surface of the skin.

Anorectal abscess symptoms

This disease can be easily identified by the doctor. It also has symptoms such as:

Chronic pain and burning sensation, which intensifies while seating
Irritations and inflammations of the skin around the anus
Painful constipation
Diarrhea
Fever and chills due to severe infections deep in the skin
Malaise
Anorexia
Warmth around the disinfected area due to immune system’s response
